80 cm piastra glass chandelier in modernist mid-century style [41640]
The technique for making piastra glass dates back as far as the thirteenth century, and is very labour intensive, as the molten glass is formed into the required shape by hand, using iron tools, and then left to cool. The method may be traditional but the design and style of this gorgeous chandelier are pure 1970s mid-century modernist.
It belongs to our own private collection of hand-crafted mid-century lighting and chandeliers based on historical designs by Venini, Vistosi and Mazzega, and rendered in Murano glass. We therefore have free rein when it comes to size and colour. You will benefit from precise shapes and brand new metal fittings, as well as custom finishes. One of the most important plusses is that you can order as many as you like.
The price quoted here is for the eighty centimetre(ø) chandelier a with clear Murano glass diffuser. If you would like to order the light in this size, please refer to the options boxes, where you can also choose to have a chrome or a 24 carat gold-plated frame.
