This is a very ornamental handcrafted Venetian glass chandelier, inspired by the flora of the Venice lagoon.

Beautiful flowers surround the amber column, and illumination is provided by ten lights on the amber branches. The bobeches, or candle cups ,and the bottom bowl are handmade using the ghiaccio technique, whereby the hot glass is immersed in cold water, and then encased in a further layer of clear glass to look like cracked ice.

This wonderful chandelier is actually a rather sizeable work of Venetian glass art, measuring over a metre in diameter.
