An exceptionally pretty classic hand-crafted Venetian floor-standing lamp on an antiqued gold leaf base.
The diffuser itself is entirely handmade with finest clear Murano crystalo glass, using a special ‘baloton’ mould to create the lovely raised criss-cross pattern on the glass. This is a very typical Venetian glass-making technique which dates back as far as the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, and is still very popular today.
We can also have this very pretty lamp made for you with amber baloton glass, or in a smooth amber Murano glass, etched internally to give an antiqued finish. Please contact us if you would like further information.
This piece may bear some tiny imperfection that will attest to its having been fashioned entirely by hand, thus increasing its value and uniqueness. It is based on a historical design and has been crafted using purely traditional techniques.
