A wonderful Murano glass modular ceiling light with a modern mid-century vibe. Metal and glass tubes of different diameters and lengths are suspended from the canopy. These glass tubes, or "tronchi" are often used to create modern Venetian chandeliers. They are made using many different traditional techniques, developed by the glass-maestri over the centuries.
We think of this as a modern design, but it has its roots firmly in the 1950s, when Mazzega, the famous Venetian glass-making house, first suspended a number of diffusers from a central frame.
The two-light LED light source is contained within the antiqued brass canopy for downward illumination, bringing this wonderful modular suspended light firmly up to date.
