Mid-century amber Corteccia glass chandelier in custom sizes
This is a lovely modern-day interpretation of a classic mid-century chandelier design, crafted by hand using the “corteccia” or “bark” pattern. This pattern allows the bulbs to be concealed while still allowing for excellent light diffusion, and was first used by Venini and Veronese in the 1950s.
A very similar original by Mazzega appeared on an auction site recently, priced at over £1900. Ours has a much more attractive price tag. Furthermore this one will show no signs of wear and tear. It can be ordered in custom sizes and colours, different frame finishes, and you can order as many as you want.
The price quoted here is for the sixty centimetre size with amber and clear Murano glass diffuser and chrome or 24 carat gold-plated metal parts.
As we commission all the lights and chandeliers in this section ourselves, your new corteccia Murano glass chandelier can be made in any size you like, and you can also request a special colour. Please get in touch with us if you would like to know more. If you would like to buy the version shown here, please refer to the options boxes to select your metal finish.
