Murano balloton glass baloton table light with gold leaf base [43216]
An exceptionally pretty classic hand-crafted Venetian table light on an antiqued gold leaf base.
The diffuser itself is entirely handmade with finest clear Murano crystal, using a special ‘baloton’ mould to create the lovely raised criss-cross pattern on the glass. This is a very typical Venetian glass-making technique which dates back as far as the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, and is still very popular today.
We can also have this very pretty lamp made for you with amber baloton glass, or in a smooth antiqued amber Murano glass, etched internally to create an antiqued finish. Please contact us if you would like further information.
